Barcelona

Last Friday my trip to Barcelona finally started! I've never been there before so I was pretty excited.
Arriving there and seeing the beauty of this city was so good (and changing -1° C to 16° C was also pretty good)

Barcelona is a city with a huge amount of sights. So actually it was impossible to see the whole city in just a few days. But I tried to cover most of it.

Way to the "Port Olimpic"

Port Olimpic
Spending some time at the Port Olimpic is a must. All along the beach promenade are restaurants and coffees where you can relax. Especially on Sunday there are a lot of people who just relax there and enjoy their free time. It's a beautiful place to either ride a bike or the skate next to the beach. This is also the place where Shakira roller skated in music video to Loca.

Gaudí designed a lot of building in this beautiful city. All of them are worth a view.

Casa Mila
Especially this cathedral is one of the most famous buildings in Barcelona - La Sagrada Família. The highest point of this building is at about 115m. The have started building it in 1882 but it's still unfinished.
La Sagrada Família
But the highlight was visiting "Parc Güell" Also designed by Antonio Gaudí is located in the north of the city. After reaching the metro stop Lesseps there was just a little walk up to the hill before entering the park. The centerpiece of the park is a 3000 square meter terrace space. The size of the park is 17 ha.

I could write sooooo much more about this absolutely beautiful city but I think the best thing is to go there on your own and go to all the amazing places and just enjoy Barcelona.

Thanks for reading

Addicted to Instagram

In the past couple of weeks I found out that I am addicted to Instagram :-) So I just want to present you some of my favorite pics I uploaded to Insta.

These pictures are from my trip to Cannes the past year. I spent an amazing time there & I hope to be back soon. Cause there are so many beautiful places there. But not just Cannes is amazing there are also a lot of great places around Cannes. You can find amazing landscape in the mountains and where you can enjoy the nature without being disturbed by other people.

This is the look from a hill to the harbor. At the end of it there is the
"Palais des Festival". It's worth a visit! ;)

south-west end of the harbor - such a beautiful place
especially while enjoying the sunset

You should definitely visit Iles Sainte Marguerite
It's a small little island with amazing nature - just a few minutes away from Cannes!

south-west end of the harbor again - loved it there

This week was so great and I was sad when I had to leave. I didn't spend the week in a hotel but with a host family. This was such a cool experience in which I had learned a lot. The family was so nice so I felt welcome immediately. I found out a lot of things about the culture there and improved my language skills a lot.

Hello 2012

So, 2011 is over now. I lot of good things happened there. I was in France, 2 times in Spain and explored Prague. I spend a lot of good time with my friends. A highlight of this year was definitely my prom. What a night :D

But this year there will be a huge change. I'll have my final exams in June - so I'll finish school *yeeeey*. Now there are this big questions "What should I study and where?" or "I wanna go abroad, but how do I find a job there?" OMG i can say, it's not easy :D

But at the moment I'm just happy and thankful for the past year.

Beautiful sunrise in Ibiza

So - have a very happy new year, with lots of health and luck.

God bless
xoxo
